Entry Requirements

FETAC Entry Requirements

FETAC level 5 Award Entry Requirements

  • 5 passes in Leaving Cert/LCVP or
  • Merit in Leaving Cert Applied or
  • FETAC Level 4 award

FETAC Level 6 Award Entry Requirements

  • Leaving Cert with some passes at Higher Level or
  • FETAC Level 5 award

DIT Entry Requirements

Foundation Certificate in Engineering (Level 6) Award Entry Requirements

  • Leaving Cert with two HC3s, three 0D3s, including 0B3 in Maths and 0C3 in English.
  • A science subject, while not essential, is desirable.

BTEC Entry Requirements

National Diploma Entry Requirements

  • 5 passes in Leaving Cert/LCVP or
  • Merit in Leaving Cert Applied or
  • FETAC Level 4

Higher National Diploma Entry Requirements

  • Leaving Cert /LCVP with a minimum of 2 HC3s and three passes, or
  • FETAC Level 5 award with a merit profile, or
  • BTEC National Diploma with a merit profile
